April 2027 preparation
London Marathon 2027
A public training log for my first (and probably only!) marathon build: the events I have committed to, the plan I am following, recent Strava activities, and the training-load signals I am using to stay honest.
I am aiming to run the London marathon in April 2027, pending a charity place (Ballot attempt failed). This page is where I will keep the preparation visible: what I have signed up for, how the training is structured, and whether the work is actually happening.
Part of the point is accountability. I am asking people to sponsor the effort, so I want the evidence to be public too. That means keeping track of the build-up, not just posting a finish-line photo after the fact.
The training-load numbers are there to help me balance ambition with recovery. I care about getting to the start line healthy so the plan is to build gradually, use tune-up events as checkpoints, and keep the data visible.
Focus is on surviving, not necessarily time. Finish lines - not finish times!
Upcoming events
This will grow as more tune-up events are booked.
